Patio Cushion Materials
Patio Cushion Materials need to meet some pretty basic requirements. They need to be durable, water proof, fade resistant and they need to be comfortable to sit on. Patio Cushion Materials even come warranted for some of the highest quality fabrics. Sunbrella is one of the manufactures that offer a warranty on their materials.
Once you find a top quality material it is time to choose the color and patterns that fit you design style. One good option to consider is to get a couple of single throw pillows to use as accent pieces to the rest of your patio cushions.
You can even get outdoor fabrics by the yard so you can customize a piece of furniture to match the rest of your decor. We did this with our outdoor hammock at it really looked fantastic with the rest of our patio cushions!

Patio Cushion Maintenance
Maintenance of your patio cushions becomes with buying the right ones! If you buy patio cushions that are made from high quality patio cushion fabric your job of maintaining them will be MUCH easier.
One of the key things to do is to make sure your patio cushions are kept clean and dry. If they get dirty you should be able to just hose them clean (or add a little elbow grease for the tough spots). Keeping them dry helps keep mold and mildew from growing on them which can stain them and cause foul odors.
Either purchase patio furniture covers or put your patio cushions into dry storage for the wet winter months.
